51st ORAP Forum

With "Exascale" class machines in the USA and soon in Europe, we are entering a new era of extreme computing. The 50th ORAP Forum began to explore the applications, and this Forum 51 looks back at the trends in terms of technologies and architectures.

Auditorium Pierre et Marie Curie, CNRS, 3 rue Michel Ange, Paris 16

With "Exascale"-class machines in the USA and soon in Europe, we are entering a new era of extreme computing. The 50th ORAP Forum had begun to explore its applications, this Forum 51 revisits the trends in terms of technologies and architectures. This review will also provide an opportunity to look ahead and discuss the issues associated with the "post-Exascale" class machines expected before the end of the decade: environment, sovereignty, programming, heterogeneity.

Stéphane Requena, CTO of GENCI, will speak on "Jules Verne", the exascale project led by the eponymous consortium.
